The Finn Eetu Heino wasn’t a hurdle for Danish Jan Ø. Jorgensen. The Finn was defeated by the Dane without any problems, 21-9, 21-17.
Wednesday the Danish home crowd had a joyfull start in Ballerup. An easy victory for the 3. seed home favourite, Jan Ø. Jørgensen, brought along great applause in the huge arena. The scoreboard showed 21-9, 21-17 after only 29 minutes.
The dramatic pitch of the match occurred in the second game, when Jan Ø. Jorgensen slipped on the court:
- Of course you get a little scared in the moment you fall, so I missed a few points in the period right after, Jan Ø. Jorgensen explained.
In third round the Dane is probably going to face 15. seed Japanese Sho Sasaki.
If the Dane win the match, it will be the first time he manage to beat Sho Sasaki.
