Women’s Singles:
While all the seeded Chinese women’s singles did their job and went through to Thursday’s third round matches, one seeded player didn’t make it: 10th seed Buranaprasertsuk Porntip from Thailand was beaten by Michelle Li from Canada in an intense three games match, 20-22, 21-18, 21-11.

European Champion, Carolina Marin, also had teething troubles in her match against Tee Jing Yi. The Spanish star had to play more than an hour before the victory was secured 21-18, 16-21, 21-10.

Men’s Singles:
The Danish home crowd was happy to se another victory from all of the three Danish players Jan Ø. Jørgensen, Viktor Axelsen and Hans-Kristian Vittinghus.
Also top favourites Lee Chong Wei from Malaysia, Tommy Sugiarto from Indonesia and Chen Long from China are through to third round. Chen Long’s compatriot, 11th seed Tian Houwei, surprisingly lost his match against Eric Pang from The Netherlands.

Mixed Doubles:
No mixed doubles were played on Day 3.

Men’s Doubles:
The top seed men’s doubles entered the tournament this Wednesday, all of them seeking the chance of getting one of the finest medals in the light of top seed Mohammad Ahsan and Hendra Setawan’s withdrawal from the championships.
Both second seed Lee Yong Dae/Yoo Yeon Seong from Korea and Danish Carsten Mogensen and Mathias Boe got a great first match.

Women’s Doubles:
No one had seen it coming, that first seed Chinese Bao Yixin and Tang Jinhua were leaving the tournament in their very first match. But that’s what happened, when Anggia Shitta Awanda /Della Destiara Haris from Indonesia won in two games by 21-14, 21-18. Get full overview here. Danish Christinna Pedersen and Kamilla Rytter Juhl played the last match of the day and they are - as expected - to find on the green courts again Thursday.
