The correct focus can secure a record for Christinna Pedersen and Kamilla Rytter Juhl

Christinna Pedersen and Kamilla Rytter Juhl can claim the honour of being the most European Championships winning Danes ever, but it requires that the first seed women's doubles show a peak in their performance and keep their focus while there. Because competition is fierce, and the expectations from the surroundings are high.

With six European Championships gold medals, Kamilla Rytter Juhl holds the records as the most winning Danish badminton player ever in European Championships. But if everything works out for her women's doubles partner, Christinna Pedersen, together they will be able to play their way towards seven European Championships gold medals, and thus share the record.

Right now Christinna Pedersen holds five European Championships gold medals, but if she can win European Championships gold for the third consecutive time with Joachim Fischer and for the fourth time in a row with Kamilla Rytter Juhl, she will offset the record. But although Christinna Pedersen and Kamilla Rytter Juhl are the favourites to win the European Championships, they're still in for a tough championship.

- It's not a walk in the park to win the European Championships, and we are aware that we must be close to our maximum to defeat the best European women's doubles, who will be ready to play ball. It would be something else if we were great favourites and able to win while playing at 70 percent, but we must Peak and hit our best game to beat the other doubles, Christinna Pedersen says.
